StewartSusan graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1988. She then received a Masters in Public Health degree from Emory University and subsequently worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in HIV research. Later, she received her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Emory University, where she graduated with honors. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Susan has been with the practice since 2001. She continues to serve as a mentor to Emory University physician assistant students. She is also a guest lecturer at both Emory University and Mercer University in the Physician Assistant program.

Outside of work, Susan enjoys travel, multi-sport competition, and cooking vegetarian food.
