Dr Patharkar received a degree in Biology at Stony Brook University in NY, followed by medical school at Ross University. He completed Internal Medicine residency at New York Methodist Hospital and subsequent ID fellowship at University of Kansas where interests included endovascular infections, HIV medicine, and zoonotic diseases. Other interests outside of the hospital include sports, golf outings, ethnic cuisine, and travel. Dr Patharkar joined Atlanta ID Group in July 2015.
