Dr Michelle Jones earned her Bachelors of Science from Florida State University in 2002 with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and then began her Internal Medicine residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. Upon completion of her internal medicine residency in 2010, she moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she completed her Infectious Disease fellowship at Wake Forest University. She moved to Atlanta in 2012 where she has since been in private practice.

Dr Jones is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She enjoys general infectious diseases but has particular interest in transplant infectious diseases, non-tubuerculous mycobacterial infections and HIV. She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and HIV Medical Association. Dr Jones joined Atlanta ID Group in January 2016.

Outside of her practicing medicine, Dr Jones enjoys FSU football, practicing yoga, running, being a foodie, traveling, and spending time with her husband.
